Community Impact Award

Purpose

The Community Impact Award will recognize individuals that positively impact the 757 dance community .The awards are designed to recognize those that have an impact on the various groups, dancers and other contributing factors for the community.

Timing

Awards will be presented once a year during the Annual Synergy Dance Showcase.

Eligibility

Any individual , whether native or non native to Hampton Roads, is able to be nominated. Nomiees must have made a direct impact on an individual or group within the 757.

Nomination and Selection Process

The Impact Awards will be chosen directly by the community as a whole .

Round 1: Individuals will anonymously submit nominations for the award. Each nomination must include the name of the nominee, their social media handle or email, and the reasoning of why they should be chosen. Nominees will be accepted until April 30, 2026 11:59 pm.

Round 2: Voting will commence anonymously . Individuals are only able to vote one time. The individual with the top votes will be the winner of the award. The amount of votes will not be shown to the public. The winner will be announced at the end of the Synergy Dance Showcase. If there happens to be an equal amount of votes for 2 or more individuals, Synergy will be the deciding vote. Votes will be accepted until May 31, 2026 11:59 pm. ONE VOTE PER PERSON !
